Production Art

Converting graphics to one-color art for custom-cut vinyl printing.

This graphic design project originated as a Comic Book 3D text effect. However, the mission was to transform this design into a single-color format suitable for vinyl printing. Vinyl printing relies on a machine's ability to interpret the graphic lines and execute precise cuts along those lines. Often, graphics are initially composed using multiple shapes layered upon one another, resulting in a complex network of lines within the art's wireframe. This project required eliminating the empty boxes and creating a vectorized halftone pattern, facilitating the graphic for successful vinyl printing.
